As a kid I loved making paper chains; I would decorate my room with them and use them to count down anything I was looking forward to, tearing off one link each day. I have made them for my kids to do the same, counting down days until Daddy's deployment is over or like we're doing right now, counting down to the last day of school!

How to make a patriotic paper chain

You can print any number of pages of the printable paper chain PDF file to create the length of chain you need. Then simply cut the strips apart and use a bit of tape to seal each closed to form your chain!

This is the perfect craft to sit the kids in front of when you're planning a Memorial Day BBQ or 4th of July party and need decorations!

Tips for best results

• unlike most of my printables where I recommend cardstock for printing, the paper chains are best printed on standard printer paper.
• print as many copies as you need to assemble the chain to your desired length
• to save your printer ink, order these printed from your local office supply store (I use the UPS store.)
