Spring Cleaning Printable Checklist
One of the first things I get the urge to do when the weather starts to warm up is to get started on my Spring Cleaning Checklist. I love opening up the windows and giving the house a good thorough scrubbing.
It’s the time I finally tackle those areas that get neglected all winter-like wiping down all the doors and trim, or airing out the mattresses and decluttering drawers and closets.

How to Start Spring Cleaning
Unlike before I had kids there is really no way these days that I can get all of my spring cleaning finished in one day or even a weekend. I usually do it in bits and pieces over the course of a couple weeks as the weather starts to improve.

I’ve found that keeping a printable Spring Cleaning Checklist and crossing things off as I finish them helps me keep track of what I have and have not cleaned yet and helps keep me focused so that I can make the most of my time when cleaning.
In case you are like me, I created this pretty little checklist to help you along the way.

I need to get my Spring cleaning started and your printable is awesome!
Thanks for the checklist 😉 feeling a lot like spring here too..yay…
Thanks for the great printable, Melissa! Now, if someone to DO all of this for me popped out of the printer, too,….:) Have a great Tuesday!
too funny Cindy, I constantly wish I could hire a maid, at least a few times a year to give the house a deep clean. But unfortunately I’m just too cheap to pay someone to do something I’m capable of doing myself {sigh}
Oooooo! I love a good check list! Looks like you’ve got just about everything covered there! Can’t wait to set aside a day or two to work through it! Once I can actually open the windows that is…
Pinned! Which totally means I have good intentions of doing on the list everything, right? 😉
I need more coffee. We were up all night with a puking baby! My sentence made no sense…let’s try again…I have good intentions of doing everything on the list! 🙂
Hope the baby is feeling better Dawn, that’s the worst 🙁
Oh man, I so need this, thank you!
I needed this BIG time.. I can’t even walk into my closet.. argh!
Oh boy. I need a checklist!!! And someone to do my checklist :).
Pinned!
WOW you are so organized!! feel free to come to my house. 🙂 I definitely do not keep a checklist or spreadsheet, i just sort pray over the house, click my heels three times, and wish with all my might! lol.
I love and hate you for this, lol. Pinned!
I havent started my spring cleaning, but I need to…just putting it off as long as possible…lol!!
I try to get a little bit done every time the weather warms up for a day or two, hopefully by time Spring actually arrives it will be finished and I can enjoy the weather!
I need to get my butt into gear. Way to motivate!
Thanks so much for the checklist! I have definitely been needing something like this 🙂
You’re so welcome Hilary-I hope it helps!
{Melinda} This checklist is awesome! I love lists … they keep me on track. Wish this one was shorter 🙂 but what can you do? Thanks so much for this!
I wish it was shorter too Melinda, but much of it is the repetitive and it goes faster than it looks I promise…the list helps keep you focused!
Just in time! I’m having the in-laws and the out-laws over for Easter.
Good luck prepping for Easter, I hope the printable helps! Have a great week!
Thanks for this great list! I’ve printed it and plan to follow it this spring.
Hope it helps Bonny! i have to have lists for everything or I’ll forget what I’m doing-I’m easily distracted!
The check list is great. It has everything factor which is common in all bedrooms. and staying on common things you have made it more useful otherwise that list would have been very long and boring.
Oh boy, I love this list. It will really help get in gear for spring cleaning. Thanks so much!
This is simply perfect timing! I’m prepping my house for selling and found you from the Shaken Together linky party. You’ve given a perfect checklist to keep me on top of the house before selling. Thank you for creating this checklist.

You’re welcome Jen, I’m glad it can help! Have a great day! ~Melissa
This is a great list! Now I have no excuses not to do everything on it… right?!
At least the list makes it go faster so you don’t have as much time to come up with excuses not to do it!! Thanks for stopping by! ~Melissa
Great post, helpful too. Over from #SITSSharefest
Great list! Since we just moved, I’m still in the stages of unpacking and figuring out where to put everything. However, I noticed some window sills have mold! So I think that will be on my list of cleaning in the next few days.
I hope it helps Caren! I find having a list makes checking and cleaning things much faster! Good luck settling into your new place! ~Melissa
Thanks for the great printable! This will definitely help keep my spring cleaning more organized!
I hope it helps Laura, thanks for stopping by! ~Melissa
We moved into our new house last spring, so this is a great list to get us started on all the things to do now that we’ve been here a full year! Thanks!
Hi Jen! We moved into our house last April-new construction home and it’s incredible how “gunky” the house has gotten already. I hope the list helps, thanks for stopping by! ~Melissa
Just stopping by again to let you know I featured this on my blog today! https://practicallyfunctional.net/2013/03/the-fun-in-functional-link-party-41/
This is amazing, I love it! I am horrible at cleaning & organizing and I hate it! I hate it mostly because it overwhelms me because I’m not good at it. But this totally helps me break it down and make it doable. Pinning for future reference!
I hope it helps Natalia! I can’t get everything done without a checklist to keep me organized and this list makes it much easier and faster for me!
This is a great printable! I am going to print this out now so I can start on this asap! I pinned it for next year and I would love it if you would link this up at my linky party Thursday at https://www.juliakendrick.com!
Wow. So thorough! Thanks for the printable. I finally have a free weekend to get started.
It could be wrong info, but I was told not to power wash my siding as water can get up underneath it and cause problems. Other than that, great list!
I haven’t heard that Lisa but will have to do some research! I know that they power washed our house right before we closed last year (it was brand new) and the person power washing it got too close to the siding and it left marks and they had to replace some pieces of the siding so I’d be careful if you do it regardless! (That stuff is firmly in my hubby’s lane for me!)
Can never have to much great tips on how to clean and keep your house clean. I love your ‘every detail’. I am going to be so busy cleaning and organizing this summer. Thanks for sharing
You’re welcome Ivory!
