If you don’t already know Rhoda of Southern Hospitality, you are in for a treat. In the decorating blogging world, Rhoda is practically a legend. She was one of the first decor bloggers out there and I know I have been admiring her homes and blog since I started blogging in 2011.

She recently remarried and with her husband have been upgrading and revamping this lovely home in north Georgia.

The kitchen renovation was one of the first projects they tackled in their new home and I love everything about it. She chose very similar finishes to our own kitchen makeover. I love those barstools, that pattern is gorgeous!

I love how Rhoda uses not just colors but also textures in her decor. The blinds in the living room along with the wallpaper and chairs in the dining room both add a subtle extra something to the decor.

Plus, she obviously shares my love of houseplants (I’m glad I’m not the only one who has them everywhere!)

Their master bath renovation was a recent project that was so fun to follow. It was a huge change with a gorgeous end result, see the entire reveal here.

Just like KariAnne of Thistlewood Farms, she is showing me that I need to up my laundry room game! I’ll add that to my house project to-do list!

Her husband’s man cave has great art deco elements. My husband would LOVE a space like this!

Finally, the back patio and back yard are perfect for relaxing. She has made this such a lovely extension of the interior space.

  1. I’m confused. That decor looks about 10 years out of date and why do Americans put the microwave over the stove? It’s so dangerous and makes it hard to clean.
