November Bucket List

November is one of my favorite months. The days get shorter, the air turns crisp, and it’s the perfect time to slow down and savor traditions. This November bucket list is a simple way to enjoy the season and add a few new memories along the way.

Roast Marshmallows

Cool evenings are made for gathering around a fire. Roast marshmallows and sandwich them with chocolate and graham crackers for s’mores, or simply enjoy them warm and gooey. It’s a sweet treat that feels extra special in the crisp fall air.

Take a Fall Scenic Drive

Hop in the car, roll the windows down, and soak in the colors of the season. From golden leaves to quiet country roads, a scenic drive is one of the simplest ways to enjoy fall. Don’t forget your camera and a relaxing playlist to make the trip even better.

Drink Apple Cider

Nothing says fall like a mug of apple cider. Enjoy it hot with a cinnamon stick, try making a mulled cider, or sip it cold and refreshing straight from the fridge. However you like it, apple cider brings the flavors of the season right to your cup.

Jump In a Pile of Leaves

There’s something timeless about raking up the leaves just to jump right in. Kids love the crunch, the colors, and the giggles that follow. It’s a simple joy that makes fall feel playful and carefree.

Take Family Photos

With the leaves showing off their best colors, fall is the perfect backdrop for family photos. Head to a park, orchard, or even your own backyard to capture the season. These snapshots become treasured memories to look back on year after year.

Bake Pumpkin Pie

The smell of pumpkin pie baking in the oven is pure autumn comfort. Rich, spiced filling in a buttery crust makes every slice taste like fall. Share it with friends, serve it at a gathering, or enjoy it with a dollop of whipped cream just because.

Not a fan of pie? Try pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bread, or pumpkin cheesecake instead!

Make Mulled Wine

Fill the house with the cozy scent of simmering spices. Warm red wine with cinnamon, cloves, and oranges makes the perfect fall drink for chilly evenings. Serve it in mugs and sip slowly while you relax.

Donate To a Food Bank

Fall is a season of gratitude, and giving back is one of the best ways to celebrate. Gather non-perishables, pantry extras, or even a few special treats and donate them to your local food bank. It’s a simple act that can make a big difference for a family in need.

Watch a Thanksgiving Parade

Parades are a holiday tradition filled with floats, balloons, and music. Cozy up on the couch with blankets and snacks or head out to a local parade in person. It’s a festive way to kick off the holiday season with family.

Make a List of Things You are Grateful for

Grab a notebook and jot down the little and big things that make life sweet. From warm coffee to family traditions, writing them out helps you pause and appreciate the season. It’s a simple ritual that can shift your whole outlook.

Roast a Turkey

Nothing says fall feast like a golden roasted turkey. Whether it’s the star of Thanksgiving or just a weekend family meal, it fills the house with rich, savory aromas. Pair it with your favorite sides like green bean casserole and herb and vegetable stuffing for a meal everyone will remember.

Watch a Football Game

Pull out the jerseys, make some football snacks, and get comfy on the couch. Watching a football game is a favorite fall pastime for many families. Whether you’re cheering loudly or just enjoying the food and company, it’s always a good time.

Take a Nature Walk

Bundle up and enjoy the crisp November air with a walk outdoors. The trees may be bare, but there’s still so much beauty in the changing season. It’s a refreshing way to clear your mind and soak in the calm before the holidays.

Perform a Random Act of Kindness

Brighten someone’s day with simple random acts of kindness. Pay for a coffee, write a kind note, or help a neighbor with their groceries. Small acts of kindness go a long way and add a little extra warmth to the holiday season.

Plan a Holiday Gift List

Stay ahead of the holiday rush by jotting down gift ideas now. Think about what will make loved ones smile, and even start picking up items before the crowds hit. It makes the season less stressful and a lot more joyful. (Use our Christmas planner to help keep you organized!)

Try a New Hobby

November is the perfect time to pick up something fresh and fun. Whether it’s knitting, painting, journaling, or even learning a new recipe, a hobby adds joy to the darker days. It’s a cozy way to spend time indoors while still feeling productive.

Host a Pancake Breakfast

Gather family or friends for a morning filled with stacks of fluffy pancakes. Add toppings like maple syrup, fruit, or whipped cream to make it extra special. It’s a simple way to slow down and share a warm meal.

Play a Board Game

Pull out a classic game or try something new for a fun night in. Board games bring out laughter, a little friendly competition, and plenty of memories. Pair them with snacks and a cozy blanket for the ultimate fall evening.

Black Friday Shopping

Get a head start on holiday gifts (or treat yourself) with Black Friday deals. Whether you brave the stores or shop from the couch, it’s all about finding bargains that make the season brighter. Just don’t forget to bring your list and a little patience.

Help the Neighborhood Rake Fall Leaves

Grab a rake and lend a hand to a neighbor who could use the help. Clearing leaves goes faster when done together, and it’s a thoughtful way to build community. You’ll get to enjoy the crisp air and a little extra exercise while doing good.

November passes quickly, but it’s full of opportunities to enjoy the season. A few simple activities can turn ordinary days into lasting memories. Choose your favorites and make this month one to remember.
